WBEZ
Each week on Making, we tell the origin story of an icon before they skyrocketed to success. As a lead producer, I book panels with icons' inner circles, secure exclusive content, prep our host, script interviews, build elaborate tape montages and produce 40-minute episodes. Check out my favorites below. You can find the full season here.

THE DAILY NORTHWESTERN
As Digital Managing Editor at The Daily Northwestern, I oversaw 50 staffers via the audio, video, web design and social media desks. Before this role, I founded the newspaper's premier city news podcast Everything Evanston. My reporting on campus news won second place in the Podcast category for the Associated Collegiate Press Multimedia Story of the Year Award. My most recent multimedia investigation into Evanston's discriminatory lead testing practices resulted in a new city law. It won an Illinois College Press Association award and qualified as a national finalist in the Society of Professional Journalists 2020 Mark of Excellence Awards.
APM REPORTS
At American Public Media's investigative unit, APM Reports, I learned to keep powerful institutions accountable. Using Pro Tools, I assisted with audio production, most notably for the award-winning podcast In The Dark. I also pitched, reported and wrote an original investigation into the lobbying practices of Juul Labs, Inc.
MEDILL NEWS SERVICE
One of 12 students selected to report for Medill’s Washington newsroom, I broke news from Congress and The White House, including the 35-day government shutdown, national emergency declaration and the State of the Union. I pitched, reported, and produced original, in-depth multimedia enterprise stories, including a package on José Andrés's pop-up café for furloughed workers. I also wrote, photographed and reported live with Twitter and Instagram. My time in Washington D.C. trained me to report breaking news and navigate Capitol Hill.
OTHER WORK
My other journalism projects include an investigation with the Medill Investigative Lab into the impact of opioids on child welfare in Native American tribes, a podcast about my sister's negative childhood memory inspired by Gimlet Media's Heavyweight and a vox pop on regret.
